Bigger and Better Than Ever

When two of the most respected
names in mining and construction
? Atlas Copco and Ingersoll-
Rand Drilling Solutions ? announced
that their respective expertise would be
combined into one, it was clear that there
would be one big winner? the customer.
In practice, the former Ingersoll-Rand
team has now joined the Atlas Copco
team to form a new, dynamic organisation
dedicated to bringing the best of
both companies? know-how to the global
marketplace.
The new entity is called Atlas Copco
Drilling Solutions ? a division within the
Atlas Copco Group. It is based in Garland,
Texas, USA. While the name of the
division, and ultimately also the products,
becomes Atlas Copco, the strong design
characteristics of the IR products remain
unchanged and the existing customer service
support infrastructure will be a building
block for further development.
Heading up the new division is Bob
Fassl, formerly General Manager of
Atlas Copco Exploration Products in
Canada, who has more than 20 years of experience in mining and construction.
