Small baby with a big performance

2008 Jan 01

Acompletely new member of the Atlas Copco family of hydraulic surface drill rigs has been born. Called ROC T15, this “baby” rig drills in the hole range 22–45 mm and covers a horizontal vertically drilling coverage area of more than 18 m2, making it ideal for construction jobs, dimensional stone cutting, self-drilling anchors, bolthole drilling and boulder blasting.

Tramming, drilling and boom operation are all remotely controlled on this self-propelled, four-wheel drive rig which gives excellent speed and stability. The rig is also so compact that it can be easily transported on a small truck or even on a trailer.

The ROC T15 has the same type of stiff, folding boom and durable aluminium feed as its older cousins in the ROC family. Its Deutz engine meets Tier III exhaust emission standards, and the rev/min can be adjusted via the radio-remote control to minimize fuel
consumption. There?s also a built-in dust collector, which gives a real compact look to the rig and an optional hydraulic winch which enables it to be used safely in extremely difficult surroundings.

Epiroc operated under the trademark “Atlas Copco” prior to January 1, 2018.
