Atlas Copco’s Scooptram ST7 impresses operators during pre-launch trials in Sweden.

Scooptram ST7 has performed well in trials at the Lovisa lead and zinc mine Sweden. This new underground LHD has a tramming capacity of 6.8 tonnes and benefits from a range of improvements including articulated steering and an oscillating rear axle.

Powered by a 6.7 litre clean-burning 193 hp Cummins engine, the Scooptram offers increased safety thanks to its SAHR (Spring Applied Hydraulically Released Brakes), automatic diagnostics system and oil-free cabin environment. Operators at the Lovisa mine hailed the vehicle?s ease-of-service, comfort and driveability.

Epiroc operated under the trademark “Atlas Copco” prior to January 1, 2018.
